Raul Kusak, Homemade Jamz, Eden Brent, Sue Foley, Doug Macleod and Eric Sardinas. They all sung at Sighisoara Blues Festival. Luckily I had the time to go at the BluesFest every day and I can only say I really enjoyed it. Underneath are some of the photographs I took at the event. I tried to shoot every performer the way I perceived his/her music. Therefore some photographs are blurrier than others. Also, I enjoyed listening to some of them more than photographing them
.
For an other view over the event take a look at Sever and Andreea’s photographs from the event.

This is my vision about Romania, with its cars on the streets full of puddles, with people walking somewhere they don’t know where and with reflections of the past.

It’s Irina Stefan time again ! Found this photograph in my archive when I was looking for a other photographs. The photograph is taken at the preparations for one of her concerts. You can imagine the original one does not look like this over-postprocessed version but guess what. I like this one better. It has a feeling. It looks wired and somehow wrong. But at the same time it looks interesting. What do you think ?

This photograph should not even exist since it’s the 37th from a 36 positions film. Heh
it’s shot at f/1.4 in the Culture Pub at low light. I like this photograph because at first I was like: “Ok … it’s ok” … but then i saw her left arm that was very blurry and the photograph just somehow changed in my mind. That was tricky

Because the weather sucks I decided to post a photograph I took some time ago, when the autumn was young, the sun was shining and life was easier. The photograph is taken on a hill near Nades (same photosession with The Village). I chose to post the color version here and the monochrome version after the break because I want to see some colors here ^_^.

Meet Ghita! Ghita is a colorful person (even if the picture is B/W, you still can see this), who lives in my hometown, Sighisoara, where in the hot summer days you find him on his house’s moat playing on a guitar all day long. He can play you everything you want, just stay and talk with him. I personally heard him sing some Jimi Hendrix (flawless) and then some Jazz and Metallica … basically he can play everything. Just … stay with him … Ghita is kinda lonely … He has no family, no real friends and no money. His only love is his guitar and the music it makes.

“I was walking down the street just the other day / I saw these …” wait … that’s the wrong quote for this post. But it’s true. I was taking a walk some day when I saw this man on a bank with a book and a pencil in his hands. I asked him kindly if I could take a photo of him. He agreed and here is the photograph. Well, as I usually do, I like to talk a little to my subjects, if it’s possible. So I asked him what he was doing and he answered “I’m thinking.“. I decided not to ask him what he was thinking about, because that’s the most stupid question someone can ask, because thinking is the only privilege someone has and nobody will answer honestly. Who knows what he was thinking … I don’t … but probably something like “What does this weirdo want from me ?”

me: "What are you doing ?" The Thinker: "I think."

All colors are sending us a message.
Regardless of the color the message is different.
Red to blue, and beyond.
Over the years studies shown us the meaning of colors.
Good thing we have science.

Can you see it ?

This is how a typical Romanian village looks like. Some houses where some old people live, a church where they pray, and a cemetery where they, someday, join their neighbors. This is the village Pipea where at the last census (2002) there lived 99 people. Now count the tombstones and multiply it with 4 (places) and you’ll see where this village is going.

Where the passed ones, call the left ones to join them ...
